Design thinking is a human-centered approach to innovation that draws from the designer's toolkit to integrate the needs of people, the possibilities of technology, and the requirements for business success.” —Tim Brown, President and CEO, IDEO

An innovative approach that incorporates human behavior into design. Design thinking is empathetic. Trying to understand what people value and coming up with a solution.

Design thinking is a tool for innovation, not just for designers, but for all types of fields such as law, engineering, business, and the arts. It's a collaborative effort to solve problems collaboratively and creatively.

A design thinking process involves 5 steps:

EMPATHASIZE

Understand the need or problem from the perspective of the end user. This is why we ask a lot of questions to get a grasp on what is needed. Sometimes it takes really digging deep to discover.

You need to know why and how your users will interact and what you want them to do so that you can create an environment that successfully gives your users a great experience that brings your company or organization the results you desire.
